Bachipedia – a project of the J.S. Bach Foundation
The J.S. Bach Foundation is performing the entire vocal oeuvre of Johann Sebastian Bach in an ambitious concert cycle lasting around 25 years. The first concert took place in 2006, and since then, all introductory workshops, concerts and reflective lectures have been recorded on video. Over the years, we have amassed an extensive collection of audio and film material as well as other content related to the master’s works. One of the Foundation’s aims is to raise the profile of Bach’s vocal oeuvre – especially among the young. To this end, the Foundation established the “Bachipedia” platform. BACH FACTORY on BWV 215 "Preise dein Glücke, gesegnetes Sachsen"
Through our Bach Factory videos, we aim to keep our large international community up-to-date on our latest activites, especially the preparation of our cantata recordings. This Bach Factory video explores the cantata performance BWV 215 “Preise dein Glücke, gesegnetes Sachsen” (Praise now thy blessings, O fortunate Saxon). The concert recording, introductory workshop and reflective lecture (in German) are available at Bachipedia.
